The deal
PestCo Holdings, a pest control platform owned by Thompson Street Capital Partners, has acquired Arrow Pest Control of Morganville, N.J. Terms were not disclosed.
Arrow has served residential and commercial customers across New Jersey for more than 50 years. Owner Stewart Lenner said the partnership is in the best long-term interest of Arrow's employees and clients.
The Potomac Company advised Arrow on the sale. PestCo CEO Jay Keating said the deal accelerates the company's growth in New Jersey.
PestCo bought in Houston in January and New Jersey in June. Platforms like this are building national footprints one well-known local name at a time, and they use specialized advisors on the sell side to run these deals. Pest control has a small group of advisors who know every buyer, which is why it pays for owners to have experienced representation.
What this means if you own a pest control company
- Legacy names travel. Fifty years of local trust is something a national buyer can't build quickly.
- Use specialists. Pest deals are a small world. Advisors who know the buyers matter.
- Employees are a reason. Many sellers choose buyers based on what happens to their people.
