The deal
Team First Home Services, a residential plumbing platform backed by Atlanta private equity firm Grove Mountain Partners, has partnered with Holloway Plumbing of Kerrville, Texas. Terms were not disclosed, and the announcement did not say whether Team First acquired the company outright or took a stake.
Holloway has served the Texas Hill Country for nearly 50 years and will keep operating under its own brand.
Team First launched in March 2026. It is led by CEO Mike Bornhorst, with Grove Mountain partner Stephen Fraser as chairman.
New platforms launch every month, and each one needs companies to buy. Team First started in March and is already partnering with established names like Holloway. More platforms mean more buyers competing for good companies, which helps owners. It also means owners need to compare young platforms carefully: their track record, their capital and their plans.
What this means if you own a plumbing company
- New platforms need you. A young platform's first deals often come with more attention and flexibility.
- Vet the buyer. Ask a new platform about its funding, its leadership and its exit plan.
- Small towns count. Kerrville isn't a big metro. A long local track record still attracts buyers.
