The deal
T3 Services Group, a group of residential HVAC, plumbing and electrical service companies, has acquired Element Home Services. Terms were not disclosed.
Element was founded in 2016 and has branches in Jackson Hole, Wyo., Durango, Colo., St. George, Utah, and Prescott, Ariz., offering around-the-clock repair, maintenance and replacement. It keeps its brand and local leadership.
With Element, T3 now has eight partner companies across seven states. T3 CEO Joe Finney called Element a perfect fit, and co-founder Jon Graham said T3 understands what makes the company special.
Element shows that a company doesn't have to be in one big city to attract a platform. Four branches in smaller, fast-growing Western markets gave it a multi-location footprint that's hard to assemble. If you've opened a second or third location, you've already done some of the work a buyer would otherwise have to do.
What this means if you own a multi-location company
- Branches add value. Each working location shows a buyer your model can be repeated.
- Small markets work. Resort and small-city markets can be just as attractive as big metros.
- Young companies sell. Element was founded in 2016. Fast, well-run growth gets noticed.
