The deal
Oak Hill Capital has partnered with Guild Garage Group, an Orlando-based alliance of residential garage door repair, maintenance and replacement businesses. The deal was first reported in March and formally announced in early April. The companies said financial terms were not disclosed.
Reports at the time put the price at more than $800 million, with Guild generating more than $300 million in annual revenue and close to $50 million in EBITDA. Those figures come from deal reports, not the companies.
Guild was founded in 2024 and now has 28 local brands in 30 states and more than 500 certified technicians. Its model keeps local brands in place while sharing operations and growth resources. Guild's leadership team and local operators remain significant owners.
Guild went from launch to a reported $800 million-plus deal in about two years by buying local garage door companies and keeping their names. That speed tells owners two things. First, garage door businesses are in demand right now. Second, platforms like Guild create value by assembling companies, and owners who roll equity into them can share in that growth, with risk attached.
What this means if you own a garage door company
- Garage doors are hot. Two of the biggest 2026 platform deals were in garage doors. Buyers are looking.
- Local brands survive. Guild's model keeps the names customers know. Ask any buyer about theirs.
- Rollover can pay, or not. Operators kept significant ownership. That upside depends on the next sale.
